“I remember with gratitude the coaches who impacted my playing career as well as my life.” That was the message of Yael Averbuch, Techne Futbol founder, in her presentation at the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Baltimore this past January.
In her talk, in front of an audience of hundreds of coaches with whom she and her Techne staff interacted with during the Convention, Averbuch went into depth about her own soccer journey, and the impact of coaches that goes well beyond the field.
She recounted the coaches-mentors who inspired her to take ownership of her journey, and how they taught her to love the game and treasure the process of improvement. “In addition to playing the game, as coaches you have an influence on the players’ work ethic, accountability, discipline and confidence,” she added.
Averbuch often talks about the empowering soccer journey and stresses that cultivating and supporting that empowerment--for both players and coaches--is at the core of the Techne Futbol app. Her presentation connected various features of the training app and Group Manager Portal to show how they foster the same inspiration she feels fortunate to have had throughout her career.
While Techne Futbol is aimed at assisting players to learn and sharpen soccer skills, the impact of the training system on the lives of the players it touches is central to the company’s mission. Averbuch and her staff are passionate about connecting with coaches worldwide to help them use this system to impact their players’ development on the field, as well as their experience far beyond the field.
